Valerio Voliani, PhD

Valerio Voliani is Professor of Inorganic and General Chemistry at the Department of Pharmacy (University of Genoa), and group leader researcher at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. He has more than 10 years of experience in noble metal nanomaterials development. MSc in Chemistry and PhD in Molecular Biophysics from Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy). He produced 4 families of patents, more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and 4 books on nanomaterials.

Maria Laura Ermini, PhD

Maria Laura Ermini obtained her MSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemical sciences at the University of Florence. After several years of research at the Academy of Sciences in Prague, where she was involved in the development of biosensors and plasmonic nanomaterials, she joined the research group coordinated by Valerio Voliani. 

Valentina Frusca

Valentina Frusca obtained her BSc in Physics at the University of Milano-Bicocca and her MSc in Materials and Nanotechnology at the University of Pisa. She is now a PhD student in Translational Medicine at Scuola Sant'Anna (Pisa) under the supervision of Prof. Voliani.
